Four legendary descents above the Inca capital: the hardest day in the Cusco backyard.
El Brujo and El Pastor are two of the most famous downhill trails in the Peruvian Andes: 12 kilometres each, from 4,200 m down to 3,400 m, with endless rock gardens, berms and very fast, flowing exposed sections. We ride them back to back with a shuttle in between, and on their own they already justify the trip to Cusco.
The day continues in the Santa María forest, 7 kilometres of eucalyptus, loose dirt and natural lines, and finishes with Yuncaypata: 10 kilometres from the Corao Pass (3,850 m) into the city, on one of the most technical and ancestral trails of the area, with rock steps and tight switchbacks. Four descents, more than 2,700 m of vertical and almost no pedalling: pure gravity at 3,500 m, in one of the most recognised mountain bike destinations in the world.
We open with El Brujo and El Pastor back to back, with a shuttle in between: 12 kilometres each from 4,200 m, with endless rock gardens, berms and very fast, flowing exposed sections.
Then into the Santa María forest for 7 kilometres of eucalyptus, loose dirt and natural lines, and we close the day on Yuncaypata, from the Corao Pass into the city, with rock steps and tight switchbacks on one of the most technical and ancestral trails of the area.
Bike, protective gear, guide and shuttle included. Lunch and hotel pick-up are not included.
