We’re off to see the wizard! Our shuttle takes off from Cusco and unloads us at 4,240 m (13,911 ft.) at the Occoruro Pass. From there, we tackle a track dimed “El Brujo”, or "The Wizard" by local riders – because riding some of these features calls for one at times! El Brujo, a super technical trail to say the least, brings some steep berms, rock-gardens, razor-thin lines, and the ultimate anti-grip that make for one of Peru's gnarliest singletracks. We’ll roll to a stop at 3,450 m (11,319 ft.)
After our visit with “The Wizard”, we’ll shuttle up to the start of the internationally famous DH trail “Huaccoto”, the competition route for the 2016 Pan-American Downhill Championship. This last ride offers some agressive verticals, jumps, and drops that can bring the freerider out of us all! This second route is short (approximately 15 minutes), but intense. If at the end we still want more, we’ll shuttle up to drop in on a bonus track that delivers another non-stop adrenaline downhill ride.
Note: Peru Biking requires that riders first complete an Intermediate level Full-Day Tour before attempting trails of greater difficulty. Sorry, shredders. Rules are rules.
All of our Full-Day Rides are operated in privately arranged tours to guarantee the best experience for riders.
